Will Tim Tebow Be The Philadelphia Eagles New Weapon?

Lots of rumors floating around during Super Bowl Media Day.

One of the more interesting rumors heard is that new Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly has been talking to the Jets about acquiring Tim Tebow. When questioning insiders at both teams, they replied, “No comment” …which makes it seem like something might be happening.

On first thought, Philadelphia already has Michael Vick as their QB. However, upon closer scrutiny, the Eagles strategy is to have 2 QB’s that are dual threat leaders.

Michael Vick is starting to get long in the tooth and has been taking physical beatings the past few years. In fact, he has missed games because of his injuries. Having a healthy bull named Tim Tebow backing up Michael Vick seems to be a very well thought out insurance policy….and here’s why:

1. Michael Vick can still play

2. Chip Kelly’s wide open offense if perfect to utilize both Vick and Tebow’s greatest skill sets….pass, run, scramble and making broken plays into huge gains.

3. Tebow is hungry. He wants to prove himself in the NFL (not Canadian league).

4. Tebow might not be pretty…but all he does is win.

5. If Vick gets knocked out of a game, Tebow is one helluva weapon to bring in as your backup QB. And with Chip Kelly’s innovative offense, he can make Tebow get his mojo back.

So, football fans….and especially Eagles fans….what do you think of the rumor of Tebow coming to the Eagles to give Vick some dual threat competition?

Charlie Strong – The $20+-Million Dollar College Football Coach

SHOW ME THE MONEY – Charlie Strong IS a Wanted Man !

Charlie Strong is sitting back and letting the University of Tennessee and Louisville increase the price to land the hottest football coach in America today.

Unconfirmed sources say that Tennessee has made an offer that would make him the highest paid coach in college football history that has not won a national title.

The offer is believed to be up to around $4M from $3.2M this morning.

Charlie increased his pay, by eating lunch and laughing all the way to the bank.

A private jet is in the air from Knoxville to pick Coach Strong up and fly him back to Knoxville to be introduced.

BREAKING NEWS ….Charley Strong has decided to stay at Louisville after football boosters broke into Ft Knox and decided to keep Charlie Strong as the head football coach, for 8 years beyond his current contract. According to sources, Strong has been given a new and extended contract that will equal over $20-Million Dollars for the length of the agreement. In addition, all his assistant coaches shoudld be happy, too…athletic director Tom Jurich has agreed to increase the salaries of all Strong’s assistant coaches.

On s side note, Louisville will be upgrading and become a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2014.

Former Louisville Head Football Coach has accepted a position to be the new Head Football Coach at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, according to stealth unconfirmed sources.

Rumor mills nationwide were widely posting messages about Strong being in the final considerations for the elite Southeaster Conference position. He comes into a program that is in turmoil. The Vol Nation fired their head coach 2 weeks ago and have been on a desperate hunt to land the right candidate to right the Volunteer football ship.

Strong comes with a stellar coaching background, having coached under Steve Spurrier, Urban Meyer and elevated to the head coach at Louisville, where he turned around a football program in 2 short years to BCS bowl status.

Football analyst Pasquale Nasca was first to break the news along with his faithful team of crack investigators led by Wallace Sasquatch in California and Jimmy Gaindog in the Southeast.

They tracked the movement of the Tennessee private jet, by tracking logs in the Federal Aviation logs and good old fashioned shoe leather and phone calls.

A press conference for staff was held 37 minutes ago and a full press conference will be scheduled for later tonight after Jimmy Kimmell live.

The sound that you hear in the Big Apple is the implosion of the New York Jets crashing and burning. But Wait ! Up in the air …it’s a bird … it’s a plane….it’s … it’s … it’s TEBOW MAN ! 

The pre-season trade of Tim Tebow to the Big Apple energized the Jets football team, eclipsed the Giants spotlight and was all the sports world hoped for….the arrival of Tim Tebow to lead the Jets to victories and to put pressure on Mark Sanchez to elevate his performance.

After midway through the season, the Jets have under-performed, Tony Sparano has not utilized Tebow, Mark Sanchez is sputtering and Head Coach Rex Ryan is on the hot seat.

What will it take for the Jets to give Tebow a real shot at playing?

Wake up Rex….your going to get fired if you don’t start scoring touchdowns…and more importantly WINNING!

Give Tebow the starting QB slot and lets see what he can do. He certainly can’t do worse than Sanchez.

National Recruiting Expert Pete Nasca Gives Gators a Thumbs Up

Pete Nasca, the world renowned Gators football expert, has stated publicly that he feels the University of Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp has recruited the best high school recruits in the land. Nasca ranked the Gators recruits #1 in the nation.

Seen above driving to his Gator news center, Nasca gives a big thumbs up to the new Gator recruits, who already have or will be signing their names on the Gators scholarship paperwork. Agreeing with Nasca is Paul Castronovo and Waly Smojver, two esteemed high school football talent consultants who said California and Florida were loaded with top-tier talent.

Most notable of the Gator signees are two Philadelphia athletes. Skyler Mornhinweg (QB) and Colin Thompson (TE).

Morningweg is the son of Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Morninweg and an all-star quarterback from St. Josephs Prep chose Florida over Penn State.

Colin Thompson is an All-American tight end from Archbishop Wood high school. Thompson stated he wanted to be a Gator, after learning his hero, Mike Mularkey (new NFL Jacksonville Jaguars head coach) played tight end for the Gators.

Both Thompson and Morninweg spoke to the press and said they want to reconnect the Philadelphia-to-Gainesville talent pipeline that was first started by legendary Philadelphia recruiter Gary Rinard who recruited Upper Moreland High School brothers Eric, Alex and Bob Hewko who all started for the Gators in the 70s and 80s.

Philadelphia to Florida Gators Tradition

The Hewko Brothers of Upper Moreland High School, played for the Florida Gators in the 70's & 80's. They are credited for starting the Pennsylvania to Gainesville talent pipeline.

In addition, Morninweg and Thompson spoke highly about the Gators Philadelphia tradition that continued with All-American running back Mike Ricketts (Valley Forge Military Academy) and All-American lineman David Onorato (Malvern Prep), who also played for the Gators.
